Daisy's Thoughts
The forecast from the Zelenski house for the next year will be morning and evening tears with a smattering of smiles mid-day. Nighttime brings full hearts knowing Daisy is serving a wonderful young lady. There is a significant Morro Bay community that has watched Daisy grow and have actually been part of her training. Needless to say, Daisy will be missed here in California.

When Daisy and I are in Hyde Park, we will spend a great deal of time going over her skills, but just as important, we will talk about her loving heart and how that ties into her upcoming job.

Another significant topic for discussion will be Daisy's transition to her new home. We will go over what I expect you will see over the next several months as Daisy settles in. I will often refer to patience for all family members as to Daisy's expectations, activities both on and off the job. It's important to remember that Daisy will go through several stages of emotions as she transitions home.

We will also discuss the stability task and the basket pulling task that can happen around two years of age. This will include how we go about this training from long-distance.

This week's video will have two themes. First, you will see some of Daisy's funny behavior throughout the day. The second, Stacy will demonstrate a few of the more basic skills showing Daisy's talents.

Over my time in your home, I'll teach and review the skills Daisy has learned and have family members demonstrate understanding. At heart I'm still a teacher!

Daisy's Digs
A Puppies' Point of View
By Daisy D.

I'm not sure why human Ray watches this story on the big flat box. Each time he watches, a bunch of little men are angry at a little white circle. They take turns trying to hurt this circle. Sometimes a man does hurt the little circle and it goes really fast away until another man stops the circle. Some of the men then get happy and some of the men get sad.
But almost each day before we go to sleep for the long dark human Ray watches these men. I think this might be his job, which means he must do this or a big person might get mad at him. The only thing that changes while these little men do this is the color of the little men's costume. The best I can figure out is that the little white circle did something wrong or bad and the little men that are all in one color want to send the ball far, far away. Some of the men in the other color don't want the circle to go far, far away. Then the really strange thing happens. Suddenly all the little me go to the little long house to talk. Then, just like that, all the men run out again except now the other group of men in the other color want the ball to go far, far away.

The most interesting part of all this getting the circle to go away is that almost each day they do it again. And on some of the days human Ray seems very happy doing his job like when I give him kisses, but other days he seems sad like when I take a piece of paper out of the garbage and he says, "Daisy, we don't eat paper", and I know he's not happy.
